My story

This stunning boy is Scar! He was picked up and brought to the shelter by a Good Samaritan who witnessed him jumping out of a truck window on the interstate. His owner has been contacted, but they haven't come to reclaim him. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know Scar over the past week and describe him as friendly, smart, and attentive. He knows several commands including sit and stay. Unfortunately, Scar isn't showing well in the shelter environment because he is restless in his kennel and barks a lot. Shepherds are a working breed and need lots of physical and mental stimulation. If you have the time, energy, and patience for a young, active dog please come meet Scar! Scar is 2 years old and weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Scar is waiting in run 810; his ID # is 10651. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
