Shadow

My story

This little scamp is Shadow, came in as a stray on 6/12 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Shadow weighs 36 lbs and is about 10 months old. This is one fun-loving, tail-wagging youngster with plenty of puppy energy and enthusiasm! He is crazy about toys, and I observed him trying to stuff as many in his mouth as he could fit, and then went off and play with them. There is not one smidgen of fearfulness or shyness and this boy’s body! He walks fine on a leash although I did notice that he seemed a bit nervous about going through doors. He loves treats and takes them nicely, although does not sit for them. This friendly boy was OK with me petting him when he put his head on my knees. Needless to say, this pup needs a person or family with an active lifestyle. He needs daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment, and could use some obedience classes. He needa to be inside with his people socializing, cuddling, playing, and interacting to build a strong bond and sense of his being an important part of the family.
