My story

Meet Shampoo &#194&#150 A Sweet Senior Looking for a Soft Place to Land Shampoo is a gentle 10-year-old German Shepherd mix who recently found herself at the Rockwall Animal Shelter after the heartbreaking loss of her owner. Despite the sudden change, she has remained calm, observant, and quietly affectionate with the shelter staff. She's a beautiful soul with a lot of love left to give and is looking for a peaceful, loving home to spend her golden years. Because she came to us under uncertain circumstances, we're not sure how she does with other dogs, cats, or children &#194&#151 so slow, respectful introductions will be important. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, and microchipped. She is scheduled to return to Rockwall adoptions for her heartworm test and rabies booster on Wednesday, 06/18/25. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior who just wants to feel safe and loved again, come meet Shampoo. She may be older, but the bond you build with her will be timeless.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
