My story

Chancellor is a total sweetheart and ready to rule your heart! Chancellor is a happy go lucky boy who loves to play and loves to romp- he can keep himself quite entertained if there's a squeaky toy around! Chancellor sadly ended up at the shelter when his owner became homeless, and is now on the market for a forever kind of home! Chancellor seems to be a young boy who's a whole lot of fun! He has some puppy antics so could use some training in containing his excitement when he's just so excited. Chancellor promises to greet you with play bows and tail wags! During a walk on June 17th, he was noted to do well with no issues reported.On June 20th, he was described as very hyper but also very sweet. By June 29th, it was noted that he showed some resistance and had difficulty listening during interactions. Volunteer 6/22- this goofy boy really made me smile. He was super bouncy coming out of his kennel but was a very patient and well behaved boy while I had him on the leash and cleaning out his kennel. With how energetic he is, I thought it would have been much more difficult cleaning out his kennel while holding him but he truly is such a good boy. Once outside, he loved exploring the yard and getting some tasty treats. His little floppy ears are to die for. He’s an absolute sweetie. Behavior Eval Per Volunteer 6/16/25: Kennel Presence: When I approached his kennel, he was jumping up on the door with a wagging mid-level tail and a loose body. Allowed me to leash him very easily and confidently walked out of the shelter. Leash: Pulls on leash moderately so would recommend a harness. Handling: Outside in the play yard he spent the first few minutes sniffing around. He showed some interest in toys and became playful with me as well. He is quite jumpy, so just needs a little training on how to express his excitement. When he jumps, it’s pretty gentle, just an excited young pup! Got a little overstimulated with some light mouthing when we were playing, but it was very much just puppy behavior. Inside he was very playful! Loved to play fetch and had no guarding behaviors at all. He has an adorable head tilt with high pitched noises. He doesn’t seem to want handling too much- body language was loose and friendly but backed away and did play bows when he got pets. Was skittish going back into kennel so be sure to clip. Color: Blue due to excitement and difficulty unleashing Playgroup 6/13/25: Chancellor was very steerable at the gate. he had good greetings and was curious of the dogs at first. the more time he was in the yard he did is own thing, trotting around and whining to come out to play with the handlers ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in.
