My story

Meet Golden — a bold explorer with a playful streak Golden is an adventurer — brave, curious, and always on the move. Found abandoned with his siblings on a porch in Olathe, he was rescued by a kind Samaritan and brought to Melissa’s Second Chances, where he made the the most of foster life with his signature bold spirit and boundless energy. The fastest to sneak past an open door and the first to venture down the stairs, Golden isn’t afraid to explore new spaces or dive headfirst into a new experience. He approaches the world with confidence and enthusiasm — especially when it’s time to play. He’s got a big personality and isn’t shy about showing it, especially during playtime when his kitten energy kicks into high gear (claws and teeth included!). Golden thrives in an environment where he can get plenty of enrichment, attention, and active play. He’s smart, fearless, and full of love — and he’s ready to bring joy, excitement, and a little chaos to a home that can keep up with his curious heart. If you’re looking for a spunky sidekick with lots of love (and zoomies) to give, Golden is your guy.
