My story

Meet Dundee! This handsome doggo wants to be everyone’s best friend – as long as they can provide some belly rubs. In his time at the shelter, Dundee has proven to be sweet, friendly and wiggly. Dundee has had good dog meets and enjoyed some time in playgroup with other dogs. His volunteer buddies have noted that he can pull a bit on the leash and would benefit from some training. Dundee also appears to be trying to stay housetrained! Dundee is looking for a family, maybe even with a fur sibling, who can provide some consistency, training, belly rubs and a place to lay his head. Come to ACCT and meet him today! He was very wiggly and had a middle level, fast tail wags. As he was so wiggly, it took me a minute to slip the leash over his head. Once on leash, he hopped out of the kennel. Dundee pulls moderately to strongly on leash. He seems house trained as he quickly peed and pooped outside. He was very focused on sniffing and would pull towards a new sniff spot. He had a good fence meet and on leash meet with two different dogs. He was a bit sniff but politely sniffed and allowed the other dog to sniff. We briefly entered the run, where he continued to sniff around. He accepted treats gently. In the office, Dundee greeted everyone with a loose and wiggly body. He laid his head on various people’s heads looking for pets. He allowed handling all over. He laid down on the floor and rolled over for pets. Dundee did not seem interested in toys. When I squeaked a ball, he looked at it and lip licked seemingly a bit uncomfortable. He didn’t take possession of either the squeaky ball or a soft toy. Dundee easily returned to his kennel. Per staff 6/15/25: PGN: Loose body language, interested, high tail wags, semi-steerable, good greetings, tolerant, gave correction Per staff 6/13/25: A volunteer brought Dundee into the office, and he proved to be an absolute gentle giant. He happily sought attention from several handlers and loved resting his head in the laps of multiple volunteers. Truly such a sweet and affectionate boy! Per staff 6/12/25: Such a sweet and happy boy! Seeks out affection and wants to lie his head on your lap. Although he was a little wiggly for his exam, Edison was super tolerant even when we were assessing his wounds.
