My story

LucasMale 1 year 40 poundsNeutered Border Collie Mix 2 words… RESILIENT and DETERMINED! Lucas has quite an inspiring story. He originally came in after he was struck by a car and broke both his back legs. He had a very successful surgery and recovery. This setback NEVER slowed him down. He runs and plays and spins in the air like nothing ever happened. He walks with a slight limp and his legs can get a little tired on long walks but nothing stops this courageous little guy. He is all about his hooman and just seeks that companionship.  He is a sweetheart and you can tell instantly when meeting him that he just wants to be loved. He is such a great dog and has the best disposition. He loves belly rubs, snuggling and playing ball. Comfy blankies are his favorite. He is dog friendly and loves to play with his foster sister!! He is completely crate trained and potty trained. Loves to be wherever you areKnows how to sit, come here and the word “no”He loves toys and the more the better. He enjoys chewing hard bones and toys so lots of hard chewies are perfect and will prevent him for trying to chew anything he is not supposed to. Great on car rides He is good on walks but tries to walk right in front of you so we’re still working on redirection‍Although Lucas had a previous injury, he does not require anymore additional care.
