My story

Brinley is a dog that checks all of the boxes! She has a wonderful temperament, loving all adults, kids, and dogs She is not a barker House-trained Walks perfectly on a leash Not destructive and can be trusted when left alone inside Equal parts playful, loving, and independent Knows sit and is highly treat-motivatedYou would never guess that she was rescued from a life lived outdoors or, sometimes, inside of a small camper.Brinley came to us as an owner surrender after one of her puppies was hit by a car and needed immediate vet care. The owner decided to surrender Brinley and both of her puppies.Unbeknownst to us, Brinley was already pregnant again when she came into our care! She delivered ten beautiful puppies and mothered them for seven weeks. She had developed mastitis for a second time so our vet advised us to separate Brinley from her pups so she could heal. After ten days of medication, her mastitis was gone! An appreciative Brinley showed us how great she felt with never-before-seen zoomies! Brinley would love an active family who will play with her and shower her with love (and treats). She would do great in a house with another dog or as an only dog.Brinley is curious about cats and confused but respectful when they dont want to play. Brin is approximately 3 years old and weighs 50 pounds.Brin is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home. She is currently being fostered in southern Ohio until we can get her to Columbus for her spay.Brinleys adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, 4DX test, all vaccinations, microchip, fecal test, and preventatives. Apply at ricopetrecovery.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brinley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
