My story

Hi, I’m Tibby!I came to IWARS after having an unfortunate run-in with a porcupine. The lovely people at the vet and the rescue got me all fixed up and introduced me to indoor life - which I really prefer!I’m the softest, squishiest cuddle bug on the planet. I have a pretty relaxed, low key personality but I will greet my favourite people with excited butt wiggles and a quiet little howl. I can be shy around strangers, but it takes me approximately 30 seconds to warm up to them once I realize they can pet me. I get along with all dogs - I’m more interested in people most of the time but I always greet my foster siblings with a friendly sniff in the morning and we like to hang out together. One of my foster siblings is a 5lb menace who I am very gentle with - even when she tries to eat food out of my mouth or use me as a stepstool. I prefer to eat separately as I had to fight for any food I got for a long time so I growl when other dogs get close while I’m eating. I am content being lazy all day but also like a nice long walk. I have some separation anxiety but I do okay in the crate for a few hours, with some vocal protesting. I am very calm and my foster parents say I am a great restaurant patio dog because I am so chill.
