My story

Hello, my name is: Eclair DOB: 03/20/2023Weight: 79.9 lbs, but is obeseSex/Breed: Spayed female Bernese Mountain Dog/Cavalier King Charles SpanielRescued From: Breeding kennelThis former mama is so ready to begin the best chapter of her life. Éclair is as sweet as her namesake! She loves getting pets and being brushed. She lacks a lot of confidence at this time given her world has completely changed from kennel to a home with a family, but she is doing her best to be brave. After a life of being overfed and confined, Éclair is obese and has trouble getting around. Her size coupled with being scared has proven to be a challenge with getting her outside for potty breaks. After just a short time in foster care, she has started to move around on her own, so some progress has already been made. Her forever family will need to have some muscles to help her with scary moves in the beginning, such as getting into the car and up and down stairs. We have no doubt Éclair will continue to get comfortable with her new life as a pet and blossom into a loyal companion – she just needs a chance to feel comfortable and safe. Her ideal home will be on the quiet side with a resident dog to learn from and a fenced in yard to use (being on leash is scary to her right now).
