My story

Hi! My name is Misty and I’m at the Santa Maria Campus. I’m a 2 year old female Domestic Shorthair who is eager for a new home! I’m a cat who takes things slow, I like my space, I need to grow. At first, I might not show my face, But give me time, I’ll find my place. The window’s where I like to sit, Watching the world, just a little bit. The door is where I’ll quietly wait, Taking in movement at my own pace. I feel most safe when things are calm, In quiet spots, away from harm. But with patience, love, and time to spare, I’ll come out, and I’ll be there. If you’re the one who understands, I’ll show you love with gentle hands. My heart will open, slow but true— All I need is someone like you. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
