My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.Teddy has made significant improvements since his first assessment. Teddy was lying calmly at the front and was attentive when the kennel door was opened, and slightly jumpy, but very sweet and allowed petting. He enjoyed all petting and was calm when picked up and set back down. He ate treats and remained quiet, calm, and attentive after the kennel door was shut.Teddy interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats.A volunteer writes: Sitting on top of his den and looking out at Adoptions, there was something about Teddy's style that told me he loves to play. I don't think anything could've prepared me for just how much. The disheveled toy mouse in the corner was a bit of a tip off, but Teddy creates an intricate game for each toy in the time it takes him to reach his paw for it and he's particularly prolific. When I handed the mouse to Teddy, his whole face lit up with perceptible joy as he held it in his paws and flung it across the condo. Please believe me when I say his happiness made my day and all I could do was share toys I thought Teddy would also like. I'm going to try to rank them. First, feathers! He cradled them in his paws as he stretched and curled over them. The catnip sock is a close second because he grabbed it in his free paw. Next up, crinkle balls! These are especially good for tossing around the condo. Sweet Teddy plays like a kitten who can miraculously and happily entertain themselves. He could just use a hand in finding a family.
