My story

Hello. My name is Mist! I am an approximately 8 week old, male domestic short haired mix that was recently surrendered to the shelter in the hopes I would be able to find my furever home. I am currently available for pre-adopt and will be able to go home with my family on Friday, June 13th. I will be required to return when I am 12 weeks old for my neuter and rabies vaccine on 07/09/25. This date is non negotiable and in accordance with Texas state laws regarding adopting a shelter pet. If you are interested in adopting my adorable little self, an approved online adoption application is required for all meet and greets as well as for adoption. My adoption fee is $75 which includes my neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, 1st FVRCP booster and 1st dewormer. Once submitted RAC staff will be in touch with next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
