My story

Say hello to Louie—a big, blocky bulldog with a whole lot of personality and an even bigger heart. Like many bulldogs, Louie is a solid hunk of love who sometimes forgets just how big he is. He’s goofy, strong-willed, and full of charm—but also incredibly loyal once he trusts you. Louie has been misunderstood in the past, and he's looking for someone who truly gets bulldogs: someone patient, experienced, and willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle in and thrive. He can get overly excited and easily aroused, so calm redirection and clear boundaries are key to helping him succeed. While Louie has lived successfully with other dogs, he can be dog-selective and a bit picky about his friends, so thoughtful introductions and supervision are important. A home where he can be the main focus or with a compatible dog would suit him best. No cats, please. Louie isn’t bouncing off the walls—he’s more of a low-key guy with a big presence. He would do best in an adults-only home where he can soak up the spotlight and continue learning how to navigate the world with support and consistency. Louie isn’t perfect—but he’s perfectly bulldog. With the right person by his side, he’s going to make an amazing companion. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
