My story

Atomic number 27, with the symbol CO, cobalt is a hard, lustrous, silvery-blue metal both magnetic and highly valued. Ancient peoples considered Cobalt a mischievous household spirit or gnome.Cobalt the cat certainly has many of the same characteristics as his namesake mineral. With his glossy coat, silvery sheen and hardened exterior, our Cobalt is a bit of a tough cookie. Cobalt came to us from a large colony in which he had little interaction with people. Yes, he may look a bit gruff and grumpy, but he’s no sourpuss – just a timid, reserved fellow who likes taking his time getting to know you. With Cobalt, slow and steady wins the race… and his heart. Have a little patience, and Cobalt will blossom into a kindhearted, affectionate feline with a heartful adoration for chin rubs and butt scratches. When it comes to other cats, Cobalt is no curmudgeon. His favorite friends are felines, and you’ll often find him “hiding out” in the very center of a kittycat clowder (that’s just a fancy name for a cluster of cats). Cobalt would do best with a calm, quiet environment and a caretaker with a slow and gentle hand. Give him the space he needs and the company of other cats, and Cobalt will have found his happy home. Can you erase the frown on Cobalt’s face and replace it with a satisfied and contented smile? Fill out an online adoption application today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cobalt, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
