My story

Animal Profile:  Blue is a stunning 7-year-old blue Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail, and she’s turning seven this July. She was a beloved companion of a local trainer in Western Washington, where it’s clear she received excellent care and training. Sadly, when tragedy struck, Blue and her pack mates were left without a home. Thankfully, DGS stepped in to give them a second chance—and now, Blue is ready to find her forever family. Foster Update:  Blue is a dream dog. She is house- and crate-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and has excellent recall. You can tell her previous owner invested time and love into her—she’s well-mannered, loyal, and eager to please. She loves to be wherever her people are and has been an absolute gem in her foster home. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is especially sweet and affectionate with the two children in her foster home. Whether she's soaking up the sunshine, snuggling on the couch, or simply following her humans from room to room, Blue brings a calm, comforting presence wherever she goes. This easygoing, affectionate girl is more than just a great dog—she’s a once-in-a-lifetime companion who’s ready to share her heart with a family that will love her forever. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and low-maintenance best friend, Blue just might be your perfect match. Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
