He loves chasing his favorite butterfly toy, birdwatching on YouTube, and snuggling with all of his adoring fans. He is very playful, often running away with his toys when he’s caught them, playing fetch when he feels like it, and loves every person he meets. He is a true go with the flow cat who is happy to hangout while you work or bust out his energetic side when work hours are over. Steinway is FIV+ and came to Paws with medical issues but is now has excellent blood work and ready for his forever home. Regular preventative care and ongoing veterinary oversight are key to ensuring Steinway’s continued well-being. Steinway is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. This kitty has tested positive for FIV, similar to HIV in people. It can not be transmitted through casual contact, sharing food, water, or a litter box. It can not be transmitted to people or other pet species. It is typically only transmitted to other cats via a deep bite wound. FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives! They do tend to have more dental issues and absolutely must be kept safely indoors at all times.
