My story

Hello there, I'm Zion! Age is just a number, right? Before I came to the shelter I was unfortunately kept outside for the past 5 years and I am more than ready to have a home to call my own again. I'm a senior, but I've got the spirit of a pup and playful. I have played with some doggie friends here at the shelter and I think a strong minded dog that can put up with my pushy play style would be the best fit. I'm friendly and gentle, always ready to make new friends. I am a gentle giant but even with my size I walk well on leash. I lived with cats before and was ok with them, although I haven't been around them in a while so I would like to do slow and patient introductions with them to make sure we will all be comfy and happy. You'll find me at the shelter, full of energy, chasing my favorite toys. I'm smart too, I've learned a lot of tricks over the years. But don't worry, I know when it's time to mellow out and just enjoy a good cuddle. I love to play, but I also love just being with my people.
