My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:18Spunky is a sweet, medium-energy companion who charms everyone he meets. Volunteers describe him as a gentle spirit who loves human attention and calmly coexists with other dogs. In playgroup, he's relaxed and polite, making him a great candidate for a home with another mellow canine friend or as your one-and-only. Spunky has a lifelong medical condition called methemoglobinemia, which means he needs to take it easy during exercise, but he doesn't let that slow down his joyful spirit. He's active, happy, and unaware he even has a condition! With a little mindfulness about his activity level, Spunky is expected to live a normal life and bring lots of love to his future family. If you're looking for a big-hearted companion with a gentle vibe, come meet Spunky! He is 2 years old and 56 pounds.June 13, 2025, 2:40 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Spunky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
