My story

Please give a friendly Austin welcome to Fielder, a handsomely-striped boy eagerly looking for a furever home! With a purr motor permanently set on overdrive, you'll always know when Fielder is nearby. And when he is not, it is probably because he is exploring his surroundings, often with his sister Twinkle Lights (APA! ID# APA-A-182588) who is his beloved playmate. When he is in the mood for cuddles, Fielder loves to get on his back and present his soft little tummy for belly rubs. Fielder has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Fielder can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. Ideally he would be adopted together with his sister Twinkle Lights since both are FeLVies that can only share a home with other FeLVies. Going to the same family would allow Fielder the space to adjust to his new home with a familiar companion by his side and allow the siblings to enjoy the rest of their lives together.
