My story

Clove is an adorable munchkin cat with gorgeous amber eyes and the sweetest, gentle personality. She’s such a love! She starts purring when she sees you - she’s friendly and affectionate! She enjoys pets, cheek rubs and getting brushed. Now that you’ve heard the good things, we have to tell you about some issues Clove has been dealing with. She had bladder stones, which she had surgically removed, but she needs to eat a special urinary diet to prevent a reoccurrence. She’s also been suffering with some chronic digestive issues. With medication, it seems to be resolved now and was likely caused by a combination of inflammation, change of diet and stress, but it’s possible it might be something that reoccurs. Lastly, Clove is overweight. No judgment, we get it girl, food helps when you’re feeling stressed, but it’s hurting her health. Her weight could be a partial cause of her bladder stones, her digestive troubles and it makes it hard for her to groom herself. We help her groom with some baby wipes and a brush. So that’s something that she’ll need until she loses a little weight. She’s such a good girl, she lets us clean her up with no complaints. She would do best in a calm, low stress home. Other cats are okay, and maybe even a dog, as long as they are calm and polite and Clove has some space of her own. We know it sounds like a lot, but really she just needs some special food, some exercise (playtime!) and lots of love. She has so much love to give, she really is worth it!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Clove, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
