My story

Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm a Labrador Retriever blend. I weigh 70 lbs and I'm just 4 years old. Adventurous, athletic, and loyal, I'm just looking for the Linus to my Charlie Brown: someone to be my best friend forever. (And in the meantime, I'm told I'm a great guest if you'd like to foster me for awhile!) General Behavior:  As long as his people are by his side, charming Charlie is a happy boy! He loves to snuggle and give kisses. It's easy to tell when he's content: he loves to clink his teeth together when he’s happy and smile. Likes & Dislikes: In addition to snuggling with his people, this active, athletic guy loves to run in the yard and get his energy out. Training: Charlie has the makings of a very good boy! He is not used to walking on the leash yet and needs more practice. Other than that, he is housetrained if let out regularly, he is a well-behaved passenger during car rides, he sleeps in a dog bed at night, and generally has good basic manners.  Medical: Charlie is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Charlie is good with other calm dogs. He has shown some hesitance around other dogs, but no aggression. He’s has yet to be observed around cats, but his foster does not think he'd get along with any feline friends.  Children: Charlie would do best in a home with sturdy, understanding, kind teenagers.  Home: Charlie would do well in a single-family home where he can run and where someone is around more often than not. He likes to be with his humans more then being by himself because he gets sad when you go away. Grooming: Charlie does not require much elaborate grooming, apart from brushing. (He does shed, so he will need to be brushed!) Overall: Charlie will make a wonderful companion for someone who will take him on adventures, give him lots of belly rubs, and love him forever. Charlie is ready to meet his forever family: could that be you? Or could you even just foster this friendly fellow for a few weeks? If so, visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt or foster. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $400. ##2413789##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Charlie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
