My story

Nickname: Simi or Simi Shimmy Preferences: Good with sturdy savvy kids, likes other dogs, needs to be cat tested Hobbies: Adventuring! Hiking, being with his humans, and getting yummy treats Hey! I’m Simian—a goofy, high-energy lab mix who’s basically a big ball of joy with four legs and zero chill. I’m still young and figuring things out after life as a stray, but one thing’s for sure: I’m so happy to be around people and I really, really want to make you proud. Sometimes my excitement makes me a little clumsy (think enthusiastic toddler in a dog body), but I’m already learning leash manners and making big progress! I’d do best with a family that gets my vibe—maybe some sturdy, dog-savvy kids who won’t mind a few overly enthusiastic hugs. I’d be an awesome companion for an active person or family who loves the outdoors. Hikes, trails, exploring the world together—I’m all in. I just want to be by your side, your woodsy adventure buddy and couch crash partner all in one. If you’ve got the patience and passion to help me grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be, I promise I’ll be the most loyal, loving best friend you could ask for.
