My story

If you look up the definition of dream dog, it would feature a photo of Harmony. She is a perfect pitty. A unicorn dog. Perfect as a family dog. Perfect addition to your doggie pack at home. We would even say she is a perfect dog for a person or family that has never had a dog. She’s an absolute dream. What makes her dreamy? First of all, she loves everyone she meets. She will snuggle up on you while you sit and read or if you’re in a conversation. And everyone falls in love with her. She’s a big “leaner” and will lean up on you for rubs! Harmony wants to be with her people and will follow you around the house (and even into the bathroom!) She also loves dogs and plays great! Playful. Gentle. And a little gentle roughhousing. And when’s she’s done playing she likes to take some deep snoozes! She walks great on a loose leash. And only pulls if she sees a bunny, a bird or a squirrel. But quickly settles down once they pass. Did we mention she’s a snoozer!? She doesn’t bark. Very quiet except for the first 5-10 minutes of putting her in a crate. Which gets better with time. We have her sleeping in a crate at night and she does settle down quickly. We also put her in a crate when we leave the house. Right now she is pretty much confined to our kitchen where we have baby gates to keep her safe and to make sure she stays on her potty training schedule. Harmony is a medium energy dog. And not a high maintenance dog at all. She is about 90% potty trained and any accidents she had were pretty much our fault. It takes her a while to do her business so she will get you up and getting your steps in first thing in the morning with at least a 20 minute walk. Sometimes in a potty break throughout the day it takes her a long time to empty her bladder. Sometimes she doesn’t empty her bladder. We try to give her lots of opportunities. She seems to be able to hold her bladder for up to 12 hours over night. We are seeing how she has decompressed over the last couple of weeks and has emerged as a lovely dog with a cute and loving personality. If you work, she does great in a crate. If you’re home she will be by your side and she would be great as a “take-your-dog-to-work” pet also! We are working on some basic commands with her and she has already learned “sit” and “touch.” She is highly motivated by cheese!! We love her and we know you will too!! Interested in meeting Harmony?
