My story

Meet Peas, a 5-year-old, 65-pound sweetheart who’s the perfect blend of gentle affection and playful charm. She’s recently settled into foster care and is already showing what a happy, loving girl she is. Peas is dog-friendly, crate trained, and rides like a dream in the car—quiet, calm, and content. She may bark for a minute or two when first crated, but quickly settles in and sleeps through the night. She also had no issues with bath time and took it all in stride like a champ. On leash, Peas pulls slightly at first due to excitement, but she’s very manageable and responsive to redirection. She knows “sit” and takes treats gently, showing how smart and eager she is to learn with continued training. Affectionate by nature, Peas loves to be near her people and actively seeks out attention. She recently enjoyed a "Dog’s Day Out," where she was a rock star—friendly, well-behaved, and playful with a preteen who accompanied her. Since she’s still learning not to jump when excited, a home with older kids would be ideal, as she’s easily redirected and eager to please. Peas is ready to bring love, loyalty, and a whole lot of tail wags into her forever home. Interested in meeting her? She is being fostered by Hounds Town Greensboro located at 123 S. Walnut Circle! Please call 336-308-8444 to set up a time to meet Peas!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Peas, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
