My story

Meet Bucky — Your Future Best Friend & Couch Snuggle Buddy! This bright-eyed sweetheart is Bucky! Around 5 years old, Bucky has outgrown the wild puppy stage but still has plenty of pep in his step. He’s the perfect mix of active and chill—equally happy going for a walk or curling up for a movie night on the couch.Bucky recently had a Dog Day Out and sleepover for the 4th of July, and he was an absolute star! He’s incredibly friendly and loves everyone he meets—he truly knows no stranger. He enjoyed his day with a walk, a pup cup treat, and lots of cuddle time. Fireworks? No problem. Bucky stayed calm, cozy, and slept soundly all night on a blanket on the bed. He’s a great walker, doesn’t pull on the leash, and easily handled a couple flights of stairs. He’s house-trained, well-mannered, and very affectionate. His calm and gentle nature makes us think he’d be an amazing companion for just about anyone! If you`re looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts lovebug and low-key adventure buddy, Bucky might just be your perfect match.Like all our adult dogs, Bucky will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. At the main campus, you can bring your dog along when you come for adoptions if you like. Bucky was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `I had the joy of taking Bucky on a Dog Day Out and let me tell you, he’s a total trooper and an absolute ladies’ man. He impressed me and my friends not just with how well he kept up with us during our walk on a hot day, but also with how sweet and loving he is. He may have only three legs, but don’t let that fool you—Bucky is incredibly agile and full of energy. He absolutely loves water and didn’t waste a second getting into the creek along our path. He looked so refreshed and happy every time he dipped in, clearly living his best life. Bucky has a million-dollar smile and a loving demeanor that will fill your home and your heart with joy. Please take the time to get to know him. You and your family will have a blast with this amazing boy.`Bucky is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home! His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who ar

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bucky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
