My story

Meet Ryder! Ryder is a resilient little guy with three legs and a whole lot of heart. This senior sweetheart came to us after his beloved dad entered hospice, and while the transition was tough, Ryder has shown just how brave and loving he truly is. At first, he was nervous and unsure—but it didn’t take long for him to begin trusting and seeking comfort. Now, he’s often found curled up next to his temporary foster, soaking in all the love and safety he deserves. Despite his age and the loss of a limb, Ryder hasn’t lost his spark. He still gets the zoomies, plays with his toys, and enjoys the company of other dogs. His spirit is strong, and his affection runs deep. Ryder is ready for his next chapter—a forever home filled with love, understanding, and cozy spots for naps. Could you be the one to write it with him?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ryder, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
