Tahoe: Rescued from the Road, Ready for a HomeDOB: 3/18/2025Little Tahoe’s story starts in the unlikeliest—and most terrifying—of places: tucked inside the undercarriage of a car, clinging to life and hope. No one knows how he got there, but somehow, this tiny tuxedo kitten found himself trapped inside a Tahoe, lost and alone… until a kind human heard his cries and saved him.Named after the vehicle that nearly became his end, Tahoe is now safe, warm, and full of life. But his past left its mark—an old lip injury that’s fully healed, leaving him with a permanently crooked little smile. It doesn’t hurt him, it doesn’t slow him down… it just makes him look like the brave little survivor he is.Despite everything, Tahoe is gentle, affectionate, and impossibly sweet. He’s learning that the world can be kind, that hands can give love instead of fear, and that laps are soft places to land. Every purr, every nuzzle is a quiet thank-you for the second chance he almost didn’t get.He’s not just looking for a home. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
