My story

STRAY HOLD UNTIL 06/14/2025 A photo with a stray hold banner is public and posted in a desire to reunite a pet with its rightful owner. Our stray hold is lifted after 14 days. The animals are not available to be met or considered for adoption until the whole stray hold time is honored. An "off stray hold" date will be posted for all animals on a stray hold and at that time can be considered for adoption. We appreciate your patience and understanding on our procedures and protocols. Fred COH, a 1 year old neutered male Chihuahua Mix who was found as a stray in the City of Hawthorne alongside his siblings Pebbles, Wilma, and Bam Bam. Fred is as sweet as they come and loves going for walks and exploring the world with his gentle curiosity. He gets along well with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for a loving family. Fred is ready to leave his past behind and start a new adventure in a forever home! We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.
