My story

Location: Jordan, MN I’m Bessie. I’m a big strong gal who loves belly rubs, giving kisses if you let me, and going on walks. Once I trust you I love to be touched by you and I’m always so happy to see you. My bladder is the size of a football, so no worries about accidents in the house when I’m home alone. I’ve no need for a kennel. At night or when you’re at work I do not get into mischief. I enjoy spending my alone time looking out the window. I prefer this activity over romping around with toys. A bone to gnaw on is fun when I need a break from the window. Believe it or not, I don’t like peanut butter. I absolutely love love love walks and do great on my leash, unless I see a squirrel or rabbit, so be prepared. I’m very strong. I’m protective and sometimes I don’t like bicyclists or joggers when they get too close and I bark ferociously at them. There are some people walking around too close that I don’t like either and I bark at them as well. But it’s only some of them, not all. Go figure. With slow slow slow introductions I might become friends with, or at least tolerate, other dogs in the house. But it’s safe to say that I’d be very very happy and satisfied being the one and only most precious dog in the family. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
