My story

Reginald. His real name is Phillip .We recently posted him for adoption but then received more information after his owners contacted the shelter to inform us of the real reason they surrendered him as a stray. They drove from New York with the intention of bringing him to us because we a a no kill shelter .If we didn’t track them down we would have no way of knowing that he had behavioral issues that should prevent him from being around children .This is a comprising position for us to be in as well as any adopters we may have placed him with. Please stop lying when attempting to bring a dog to a shelter .That being said , we placed Phillip in a foster home to gather more information regarding his personality . Hes very lovable and friendly toward adult humans. He is crate trained and sleeps in the crate. He walks well on a leash but is a strong puller when he sees other dogs .A fenced yard where he would not be able to see beyond it or a country setting would be best. He loves to window sit and watch the outdoors but gets very agitated when he sees children or other dogs walking. The sounds do not bother him, its moreso the physical sight of other people and animals. He will continue to bark until they are out of sight . He is all in all a great dog for a low traffic home where he can be afforded physical and mental stimulation .No other animals, no children . He apparently did well in his previous home until nieces and nephews began to visit regularly .Please someone, give this boy a way out of the shelter . He deserves better than a kenneled life. He is extremely anxious on the inside and will be coning back from foster early next week . Hes 5 years old and could benefit from weight loss .https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsGriffin Pond Animal Shelter 967 Griffin Pond RdSouth Abington Twp Pa 18411 Kennel License #2236
