My story

Squirt is a happy, playful Labrador Retriever mix who brings joy and energy everywhere he goes. Born around March 11th and currently weighing about 25 pounds, Squirt is your classic fun-loving pup—always ready to romp, explore, and then snuggle up when the day winds down. He gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets, including  kids and dogs. He’s also shown potential to live with dog-savvy cats or in a patient home that can help guide him on how to be respectful with feline friends (he thinks they are wrestling buddies). Squirt enjoys running around the house, playing in the yard, chasing toys, and chewing on bones. After a good play session, Squirt is happiest curled up in a lap, snuggling with another dog, or snoozing in bed with his people—because yes, that’s where he sleeps at night! He’s making great progress with house training and does well in his crate during the workday. He’s not a big fan of being crated while his humans are home—he’d much rather be part of the action—but he’s learning. Squirt is very treat-motivated, already knows how to sit, and is eager to learn more. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate pup who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Squirt just might be your perfect match. His adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents (if 4 months or older). He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
