My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Toby Age: 6 months old(approx. born in 2025.Jan) Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Corgi Mixed Colour: Beige Weight: 7kg/15lbs   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Toby. I don’t really know how I ended up in the Pyeongtaek city shelter, but it was a scary place — and I was put on the euthanasia list because they didn’t have room to keep me. Thankfully, some kind-hearted heroes saw my story and rescued me just in time. Now, I’m ready to find my forever family — a place where I can feel safe, loved, and truly at home. Could that be with you?   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m not quite sure what my past holds, but I know I’m a little shy and sometimes find the world a bit scary. Being a young pup, I’m learning to be braver with each new day. Once I warm up to you, I’ll follow you everywhere like your little shadow, ready to be your most loyal and loving companion. It might take me some time to feel comfortable around new people and to enjoy gentle pets, but I promise I’m worth the wait. While I can be timid with humans, my shyness completely disappears when I’m with my doggy friends. I absolutely love spending time with other pups — they’re my biggest comfort and help me feel safe in this big, new world.     MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I just need a little time to warm up to new people — give me a few days to a week, and I promise I’ll start to open my heart to you. Sudden movements and quick pets can still make me a bit nervous, so a calm and gentle approach helps me feel safe and loved. Once I’m feeling comfortable and trusting, I’ll even let you pick me up for some cozy cuddles!   With Dogs:  I absolutely love meeting new doggy friends and playing with my pals! Being around other pups makes me feel so much more confident — they’re my comfort zone, and I really thrive with a buddy by my side. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, and even if another pup isn’t so polite, I keep the peace and just quietly walk away. I’m all about good vibes and happy tails!   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I’m a calm and gentle soul who knows how to relax quietly indoors, but I also enjoy soaking up the sunshine and exploring outside. I’ve got a nice, moderate energy level — just the right mix of cozy cuddles and playful moments!   TRAINING & HABITS I’m a gentle pup who walks nicely on leash and follows my handler with care. I’m quiet by nature — I don’t bark much, I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs, and I know how to rest peacefully in my kennel. I’ve also learned to potty both indoors and outdoors like a well-mannered little one.   But I’ll be honest — the world can still feel like a big, scary place to me. I’m timid and sometimes fearful, and when I get overwhelmed, I try to run and find a safe little hiding spot. That’s why it’s very important that I’m always double-leashed with both a martingale collar and harness, plus a GPS tracker, to keep me safe while I build my confidence.   The good news? I’m getting lots of training and slowly coming out of my shell. I’ll still need ongoing socialization and gentle guidance to help me grow braver around people, but even though I’m scared, I’m never reactive — just quiet, cautious, and full of potential. With love and patience, I know I’ll blossom.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: - A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. - A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. - A family that can shower me with love and attention. - A home with another doggy sibling — having a furry friend gives me comfort and confidence, and I’d be the perfect little companion to join the family! - Understanding of my fears of new people and might try to hide when I’m scared. With a little extra time and patience, I’ll start to feel safe and come out of my shell. - A patient family that can help me grow using positive reinforcement and gentle guidance to build my confidence.   SPECIAL NOTES The volunteers and staff always tell me I’m a sweet, beautiful little pup — and I’m trying so hard to be brave! Since I tend to hide when I’m scared, I’ll need some extra watchful eyes and gentle care in the beginning. A calm, quiet space and time to decompress will help me settle into my new home at my own pace. Slow and steady wins my trust, and I do best with gentle introductions. I’m just 6 months old, still learning about the world, and I know with lots of love, encouragement, and positive socialization, I’ll continue to grow more confident. Spending time with calm, confident doggy friends really help me come out of my shell — and luckily, I get along great with other dogs! For my safety, I’ll need to wear a GPS tracker, martingale collar, harness, and be double-leashed during walks, just in case I get spooked. I may be a little shy now, but with the right home, I know I’ll blossom into the sweet, loyal companion I’m meant to be. Could you be the patient, loving heart I’ve been waiting for? I’m ready to grow, love, and thrive by your side.     ##2423814##
