My story

Danio is a 6-year-old happy, friendly boy with a big heart and an even bigger smile! He’s still settling into the shelter environment, so we’re continuing to learn more about his likes, quirks, and favorite treats—but he’s already showing us that he’s got all the makings of an amazing companion. Danio is ready to trade shelter life for cozy couches, fun walks, and plenty of love. As we get to know him better, we’ll be sure to update his bio—but don’t wait! This lovable guy is ready to find his forever family and bust right out of the shelter for good. Come meet Danio today!Danio says he`s ready to be the main man in your life! This dashing gent would prefer to be the only male dog in the home but is open to meeting any lovely lady doggie siblings who might be waiting for him. Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet him!Danio was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `I had a great time taking Danio on a Dog Day Out. He was a perfect gentleman in the car. We went on a hike through a local nature trail. Danio was very excited for the adventure, but once we were on the trail he settled into a steady, comfortable walk letting the leash be loose. He was a very sweet and affectionate boy, after our hike we stopped to rest in a shady picnic area where I gave him lots of pets which he showed his appreciation for by leaning into me and resting his head in my lap. He`s very people friendly, loves affection, play, and most especially, treats, which he took very gently.`Danio is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
