My story

Pharaoh is an amazing and special little man.  He is small and mighty with a huge personality. Pharaoh has a few special needs so please read through his whole profile. He loves to play hide and seek and will play with and hunt his cat toys.  He absolutely LOVES toys of all types!  He is good with being picked up and held.  He is a true purr box. He Loves to cuddle and sleep with his person. He has a friendly personality and is one of the sweetest natured kittens ever. He is very vocal when he is hungry or wants attention. He is a very interactive, playful and attention seeking kitty.  He will do well with calm, gentle children, teens and adults.  However, he does have a tendency to play bite and nibble with his teeth when  playing. Never hard bites just love nibbles. He gets along well with other cats.  He tolerates calm dogs and would likely do well with a calm dog after proper introduction.  He has a strong prey drive with his toys and small animals like birds and small mammals.  So, if there are any of these in the home you will need to be very cautious. He LOVES his canned food especially chicken flavor.  He has a huge appetite and when he sees that you’re eating in front of him he has a tendency to want to come up and try to "attempt" to get to your food. So some proper training will help with that. Pharaoh is considered a special needs kitten for a few reasons. He is tiny and will likely remain very small into his adulthood.   He was the tiniest kitten of his litter.  He struggled a bit with growth and being able to eat properly at first.  He showed some weakness when attempting and learning to walk at 2 to 3 weeks old.  He was taken to the vet for examination and x-rays of his legs.  Pharoah has a couple of skeletal birth defects. It was discovered that he has hip dysplasia.  One hip is dislocated due to a deformity.  However, with some extra time and physical therapy, his body has adapted.  He runs, climbs and jumps like a normal kitten with just a bit of an odd gait.  The vet does not believe he will have any more issues with his legs but it is something that must be monitored for the rest of his life.  He also has a deformity in his jaw.  His back teeth are misaligned causing a slight issue for him when chewing his food.  He eats canned food with no difficulty but can only eat very small kibble dry food.  He currently eats Pro Plan canned kitten food and Royal Canin Mom and Baby Cat dry kibble which is the smallest kibble we could find.  This is definitely something that will need to monitored throughout his life.  The vet feels he will do fine but may need tooth extractions once his adult teeth are in if the alignment causes damage to other structures in his mouth. Worst case, if this happens, he would simply need can food only diet. In the group litter photos Pharaoh is a tiny boy wearing the yellow collar. ##2301467##
