My story

Major (1 year old) Major is a beautiful black cat who is looking for his forever home. He is sweet but rather shy, and he had a slightly rough and tumble start to life living by his wits with some littermates before he came to the shelter. We didn’t even see him for a few weeks because he used to hide in his room so well. But now he ventures out and about whenever someone comes through the door, and he wants to roll around at your feet and garner whatever attention you wish to pay him. If you sit for a while on the couch, he will eventually gain the confidence to jump up and sit beside you, purring and purring. Major gets along with other cats and loves to play. Because he is so close to the other cats in his litter, he should have a kitty friend rather than being an only cat. He would probably do well with older, respectful children, and he needs a patient owner who understands that he is still getting to know what humans are all about.
