My story

Hawthorn Heights A17526046 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -A little nervous of a leash. Decent once she’s walking but can pull slightly.-She’s timid with new things. She army crawls occasionally and submissively rolls over.-Once she’s comfortable with you, she is an extremely playful girl!-Loves chasing toys and running around. Lots of play bows and trying to engage in play.-Likes treats, sits and takes them nicely-Absolute lap dog who loves her belly rubs!-Gives small, gentle kisses-Good girl!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
