My story

Hi, I'm Nala! A 47-pound red pittie mix with a bright, and loving spirit, she has a heart full of joy. She came to us as an owner surrender and quickly won us over with her affectionate nature, great leash manners, and love for long walks. Nala is housetrained, full of energy, and wonderful with children, making her a fantastic companion for an active family. While she’s not a fan of cats and can be selective with other dogs, she thrives with calm, respectful introductions and could do well as the only pet in the home. Recently, Nala had mammary tumors removed and was diagnosed with mammary carcinoma, a type of cancer that can be aggressive in unspayed older dogs. Though her long-term prognosis is uncertain—estimated at 6 to 18 months—she’s currently healthy, active, and enjoying every day to the fullest.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nala, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
