My story

Happy has overcome so much and is quite the poster child for rescue dogs, from a dirty emaciated street dog to a now trusted dog with the run of his foster home. This smart boy is eager to please, knows several commands, and enjoys neighborhood walks & longer hikes at Mission Trails. He likes most every person or dog he meets. For the first time, Happy had a "dog friend" over for several hours and they both enjoyed each other. To prepare, I fast walked both dogs for 1-1/2 mile and up 7 flights of stairs (22 steps each) for exercise. Happy certainly does not seem to be even close to the estimated age of 10 yrs. We've worked with both dogs and when our dinner time came, I hand signaled both to sit/stay 15 feet away. They both stayed right there until we prepared and ate our meal. Awesome!! Happy just wants someone to help him stay healthy, continue teaching him, and provide a safe comfortable forever home where he can just be happy.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Happy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
