My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:Sylvia was on top of the Kuranda bed, appearing calm while lying on her side. She sniffed and ate treats but stopped eating when pet on the head. She allowed petting all over while remaining calm, though she appeared slightly shy. She allowed a partial pick-up but seemed a little tense during and afterward. She's a sweet cat who may need a little time to warm up to her new home.Sylvia interacts with the observer, solicits and appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or who demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Cotton (white, approx 1 y/o) and Sylvia (tabby and white approx 2 y/o) were found in the women's bathroom in a park. We are so happy that they are with us so that we can give them a lot of delicious food, treats, fresh water, and most importantly love. Cotton is a bit more bold from what I experienced, and that he walked straight to the front of the kennel and immediately wanted to be pet. However, on the other hand, Sylvia was a bit more reserved and remained on top of her current bed, gobbling up treats and overseeing everything that was happening. She did accept pets and seemed to enjoy them however, at this time she's not ready to come down from her throne and will rule from an elevated surface. She's putting on a brave face and her kettle mate that she came in with is truly helping her feel more comfortable. They really seem to enjoy spending time together and sharing their kennel.
