My story

Vincent is a gentle, shy soul with a heart full of love, estimated to be around 7 months old. With his delicate build and sleek features—almost reminiscent of an Italian Greyhound or Miniature Pinscher—he has a unique look to match his sweet personality. Though a little timid at first, Vincent is quietly brave. He might get spooked by sudden movements or new environments, but he always finds his way back to you. He’ll follow you around, quietly seeking comfort, and despite his nerves, he already tries to snuggle with everyone he meets. Vincent is food motivated and takes treats gently, making him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training. He would likely benefit from the companionship of a calm, confident dog to help show him the ropes, though it’s not a requirement. What he needs most is a patient, loving home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
