Buddy

My story

Meet Buddy! He is a young purebred Border Collie. Found as a stray back in November 2024, we are not sure where he came from as he was never claimed. Buddy was adopted out in December to a lovely home, however due to the nature of his breed it unfortunately became not a good fit. Buddy is a tried and true Border Collie, and will require someone preferably with breed experience. He has LOTS of energy, and loves to herd whenever given the opportunity, which is usually other dogs. Buddy will require a fenced in yard as being on lead will not sufficiently allow him to run and play like he needs to in order to be happy. He has gotten along with dogs his size or larger. Smaller dogs however may not appreciate his herding tendencies. He has not been tested with small children or cats but it is not being recommended due to the herding. Buddy has had some issues with housebreaking, but we believe with strong leadership that this could be addressed quickly. He does know basic commands, but of course with all dogs training takes time and patience. Buddy is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
