My story

With his striking blue eyes and boundless energy, Huckleberry is one unforgettable pup. This Australian Cattle Dog mix is smart, active, and always up for a good time—especially if it involves his beloved stuffed toys (he lives for them!).Huck can be a bit of an oddball when first meeting new dog friends—his body language can be a little... let’s say, unique—but with a proper intro, he’s happy to romp and play. He’ll thrive in a home that understands the quirky brilliance of the herding breeds and can keep him mentally and physically engaged.Because of his intensity and smarts, Huckleberry is looking for a home with teens or adults only, and folks with prior breed or working-dog experience or someone committed to investing lots if time and energy into making sure he gets the activity and enrichment needed to succeed! If you love a dog with personality, brains, and a touch of mischief, Huckleberry might just be your perfect match!Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays).
