My story

Knox and Kooper, the bonded kittens were rescued from an abusive home, where the owner left them locked inside the apartment for 3 weeks alone, without food and water. They were crying and screaming in the window for weeks; until the neighbors asked for help to get them out. They are sweet and gentle, but traumatized, and they also need some socializing, especially the little one. They are not siblings as there is a substantial age difference between them, but they look very much alike. Knox, the “older” one, the boy, is very curious, playful, and constantly asking for rubies, pettings and also asking for being played with. He likes to play with ballies, ribbon and he also likes to watch bubbles being blown. He does like Churu licky treats, he could eat however many of it. He is very-very curious and he loves exploring and inspecting all the cabinets, closets, drawers, even the refrigerators and freezers! The little girl, Kooper is more traumatized and shy. She keeps hiding for most of the time, and rarely comes out from her hiding place, mostly to eat and during playtime. She was offered a Jackson Galaxy donut bed, but she does not know the concept of the bed and she is still sleeping on the floor, as probably that is the only thing she knew back in her previous home. With patience, love and socializing, hopefully she will be able to leave the traumatic memories behind and she will not feel the need of constantly hiding. Both of them are calm, gentle and sweet, and they get along with other cats.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Knox, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
