Meet sweet Willow! Willow is a sweet girl who is a darling love bug! We are told Willow is a 9 month-old female border collie mix. Her main goal in life is to be next to somebody, literally, and have someone to call her own. While she is a little shy at first with new people, she warms up to people within a day or so. Willow also seems to warm up to men quicker than women. Willow has a lot of energy and so she needs lots of activity. In her foster home Willow has enjoyed going for walks on the leash and playing at the dog park, and going for car rides. She is a “go anywhere” pup that can’t wait to be a companion to her own person or people. She also likes to burn off energy by playing! Willow absolutely loves to play! She would do best in a home with a dog or dogs her size or larger as she does get a little rough with smaller dogs because of how badly she wants to play. She goes to the dog park daily and has some dogs she prefers to play with but hasn’t had any issues with any of the dogs there. She is learning to chase balls but hasn’t really realized she needs to bring them back. She does get the zoomies and is very entertaining to watch when she does! She would probably be a great agility dog as she is quick and nimble. Willow is house trained and crate trained, although she is not a big fan of her crate as she would rather sit beside her human. She is not a barker at all. She is working on foundation skills in foster care such as knows “sit”, “down”, “off”, and “come”. Her foster mom has tried introducing her to cats and kids. She seems interested in them but seems too nervous to get close to them. She has not lunged or tried to go after either though. We are told Willow is not good with chickens. Other livestock is unknown. Willow is a blank slate, and with treats, praise, and time she is coming along nicely in her training. She has been spayed and microchipped. She is being fostered in Moses Lake, WA and her adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in meeting this sweet love, please fill out an application at http://herduneededahome.com/adoption-process/ or email us with questions at hunahapps@gmail.com.
