Toes and Tommy MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Adoption Fee: $225 for the pair Even when I have my hands full with fosters I find it hard to resist the red boys. They are just the most loving little guys. And when one of them happens to have the biggest polydactyl toes I have ever seen how can I say no? I said yes to a shelter who asked if I could help them by taking Toes and of course I also took his brother, Tommy, and his sister, Mathilda, a vivid calico long haired girl who I will post later- though it is hard to separate them. My first choice is to find a family who can take all three of this special litter, though I know that is not likely. Toes, of course, is the fancy footed one, his "thumbs" are huge. You can see them in the photo's. Oh my goodness! He is an extrovert, very confidant and and full of fun. He arrived that way. Tommy is larger and more thoughtful, he arrived a little shy and unconfidant and now has outgrown it. He considers for a moment before giving himself over for petting with a stranger. When he knows you he is all deep love and affection, a lap and shoulder kitty. Both kitties have tufts on the tips of their ears which are unusual for red kitties. You can see them in their photographs. Tommy is elegant with his long lines and long neck. He has a bit of the regal look which is developing as he matures. His red is a shade lighter than Toes. Like his brother he has the banded tail and white chest and feet. They are very similar but you can easily tell them apart when you can't see the feet because Tommy has a small white blaze on his nose. Toes has longer hair, some of the Maine Coon that is in his sister? He has a rounder sort of body, look at the photo of his soft, fuzzy tummy. His outrageous front feet always lighten my heart. Why do we all find polydactyl feet so much fun? His are extra nice. Both kitties have rear feet with the normal four toes on each foot but their toes are unusual- they are more like fingers, distinct and separate from each other. I do admit I sort of have a foot fetish for kitty feet. These boys are easy care kitties. They are healthy and happy. They eat anything. They use their box. They are comfortable around other kitties. I don't know how they would be with friendly dogs. Probably fine. They need an active, happy home with either adults, or adults with children too. They are good family cats -good natured, playful and curious. Such a beautiful a bonded pair. Some family will be so lucky to have their entertaining and loving companionship. Toes is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Toes (and Tommy) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Toes (and Tommy), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
