This sweet senior girl has come such a long way. She started off nervous and unsure, but now she confidently claims her spot on the couch, pillow included. She’s fully house-trained, doesn’t need a crate, and has just the right mix of independence and affection.Before heading to her foster home, Darlene spent some time in an office at the shelter with a staff member and was the most gracious guest. Quiet, calm, and easygoing, she made herself right at home. Now in foster, she’s living with both dogs and cats and is doing well. She’s even been known to break into a case of the zoomies with her younger foster brother, which is both hilarious and heartwarming to see. She follows her people from room to room, offers gentle nudges for love, and curls up nearby to rest. At night, she quietly makes her way upstairs to sleep near her foster family. She hasn’t jumped on the bed yet, but always wants to be close. There’s something so touching about the way she simply wants to be near her people.Darlene may be older, but she’s still discovering joy in new things and finding her place in the world. She brings a sense of calm with her, like she’s reminding you to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments. Come meet Darlene and see for yourself how special she is.
