A volunteer writes:Kitten Keurig, possibly the victim of a fall, was brought to us by a Good Samaritan with an injured back leg and a bruised lip. The underweight little gal is on the mend although she is not yet out of the bushes. She is eating well and is even gaining weight. Is Keurig upset or scared about this "bump" in her short life? Not at all. She is a trooper who welcomes her visitors, avid for petting and comforting words. She enjoys every bit of human presence and hopes she never sees the end of it...Getting better, that's the goal and then, a home that will give her safety, proper care and of course, love. Keurig is the cutest, a sweet munchkin who so deserves to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Keurig is a very sweet cat who only wants affection from humans. She was at the front and came farther forward when spoken to, and loved having cheek rubs, pushing and leaning her face into the assessor's hand and wouldn't stop so long as the door was open. She tolerated being picked up and held, but was happy to go back inside the kennel, and when the kennel door was shut, she began eating squeeze-up treats. Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Keurig interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.38 Age: 0yrs 6mths 2wks
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Keurig, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
