Oh Miss Bailey Bailey Bailey, the many things I could say about her are infinite. The two things that stand out the most about Bailey Belle is her happiness and love for people. I have personally seen her walk up to people that she has never met before (kids included), do her signature sit and booty scoot move, and shower them with just the right amount of affection. Every person that meets her, after these interactions, all have the biggest smiles on their faces. It never fails! Bailey is without a doubt a sweetheart, that’s a given but she is so much more than that too. She is incredibly dog friendly, gentle, great with kids, and a 10/10 when searching for that special companion. Watch her video and see all the reasons why you should adopt her: https://youtu.be/s8-UBxzmpqE?si=0vRaRXMazgHvgigI Bailey Belle is believed to be a Pittie shepherd mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 61 lbs full of love to give! She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. If you watched her video, then you saw Bailey was made to be your kids best friend. From the second that she walked in through the door and saw Kobe (age 4), Elijah (age 12) and Wyatt (13; who is very tall), she immediately lit up and went straight up to both of them. She really bonded with Elijah, it was almost immediate. A whole minute didn’t even pass by before she was already leaning into him for affection and Elijah hugging her back. It was so sweet and enduring. Bailey loved Kobe too but I think she understood that he was a lot smaller and easy to knock over so she was cognizant of that and made sure she was aware of her surroundings. You’ll even see that in her video too. The moment where Kobe was on the floor, getting her to play with him and how mindful she was about where she was stepping. She took treats gently from both of the boys and had us all giggling when she was playing with a cat toy. Bailey was also very good with toys around the boys as well. She would bring them back to them everytime after they tossed it and would drop it before they would reach for it again. Bailey was very tolerant of those random unexpected touches and wasn’t phased by any of the loud noises we were doing or even when Kobe was jumping around. She was so happy and content being with all of us, and would make a great family dog with kids. Bailey is very dog friendly and loves making friends with all of the dogs she meets. She loves to romp around, play chase with her buddies, enjoys the occasional wrestling match and understands that they can get a little vocal from time to time and doesn’t get intimidated by that vocalness. She has a very bouncy play style and will try to initiate play with all the doggies, even the ones that don’t like playing. She’s just so happy all the time, like your own personal cheerleader! When she’s with dogs who are not concerned with playing and realizes that, she’ll go off and try to find a new playmate or she’ll find a person to spoil her with affection. In a home, she would be best placed with another happy go lucky doggy sibling like her self that enjoys playing chase, the occasional wrestling match, and has an appreciation for down time as well. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s fine too! Bailey does not the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable or to open up with people. She is a total love bug with everyone she meets and as far as energy fulfillment goes, she’ll be happy with a walk around the neighborhood or even a play session with a cat toy (LOL her favorite) Bailey walks well on a leash and hardly ever pulls. If she does pull, it is not hard to remind her to walk like the lady she is. A subtle leash correction or that sensation of pressure from her leash and she's back to walking like a gem again. In all honesty, she doesn't stray too far from you on walks. Not that she's insecure or anything on walks, she just likes being close is all. Bailey is treat motivated but more than anything she wants please her people! She is learning how to sit on command and takes treats very gently. It’s funny that to mention “learning to sit on command” because she naturally does it all the time when she goes up to people for affection. She just needs to connect the two LOL. Bailey has also shown us that she is a total lady in her crate and has great house manners too. You see in her video that she walks right into her kennel with ease and is very comfortable in a crate. In the house, I had to get her attention because she was getting into stuff she shouldn't be nor did she ever give the impression that she would be interested in chewing household items. Also, something about Bailey that you might appreciate is that she doesn’t jump up on couches or beds! Even when you really encourage her to, she simply prefers to be 4 paws on the floor. So if you’re someone that doesn’t allow their pets on furniture, you’ll love Bailey! Her dream home would be with a semi-active family looking for a companion that likes to explore and one that is always game for snuggles and movie time. Bailey is capable of doing both! She'll love to go on adventures with you, even just little ones to the local park or exploring those scenic trails behind your house, and then snuggle up for a movie at the end of the day. Her only request is that you throw in free belly rubs every now and then and let her scooch her way into your lap. We are willing to test Bailey Belle with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
