My story

Hi! My name is Diego and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 2 year old Male Chihuahua mix who is eager for a new home! I was transferred from an overcrowded shelter in Bakersfield where I was found as a stray. I adjusted well since arriving and have won the hearts over of many staff and volunteers! I have a quirky personality and love to go on walks. I'm not a fan of energetic dogs, but love the ones that enjoy lying around and hanging out. I would benefit from a basic manners training, which SBH offers, to help me be successful in a home and become the dog of your dreams. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
